As expected, Sony took to the stage at IFA 2014 early last month to launch a range of new devices including its new flagship the Xperia Z3.
Recently Sony has been updating its devices twice a year and having tried the range of devices, it’s clear that whilst they’re getting progressively better, the Xperia Z2 wasn’t the complete experience.
In the case of the Xperia Z3, Sony are hoping they’ve finally hit the mark and with the Xperia Z2 almost the complete device, there wasn’t an awful lot they needed to improve. The Xperia Z3 has finally become available in the UK and our unit has arrived at TechView HQ so let’s take a look and see if Sony have finally nailed it.
We’ll kick things off with our Xperia Z3 unboxing, Hands on and very first impressions:
Overall the biggest change is that Sony, like Apple, have dropped the chamfered edges in favour of a more curvaceous design and it’s paid off. Even without turning on the handset, it’s clear that the design has been changed for the better and whilst I personally found the Xperia Z2 wasn’t all that comfortable to hold, the Z3 is much nicer in the hand.
