So we’ve had the Xperia Z3 for a few days now and one of the biggest claims Sony has made about their latest smartphone is that it can power you through for two days straight without charging. 36 hours after first boot (at time of posting), are Sony’s claims valid?

So last night at 11:30pm, we took the above Screenshot which shows that in 36 hours of usage, the Xperia Z3 drained 61%. As you’ll see from the above shot, during this time we were in areas of really poor reception which majorly impacts battery life as your handset is constantly searching for network signal.
Moving on, we had five email accounts constantly syncing, mobile data running in the background and the Xperia Z3 was also used as a primary device with wifi and Bluetooth turned on.
So what does this test tell us? Simple… Sony have worked wonders with the Xperia Z3 battery. One of our biggest qualms with the Xperia Z2 was the lack of amazing battery life and a relatively poor display and in the Xperia Z3, not only have Sony produced a stunning display but they’ve worked wonders with the battery life as well. Let’s not forget there’s also the Stamina mode which will give you even better battery life!

We’ll do some more testing on the battery life but so far so good! Well done Sony!
